Domestic Violence

Program name: Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, Stalking and Dating Violence Assistance

Description: This program provides advocacy services, emergency shelter assistance, referral service, protective order assistance, rape response at all area hospitals, resume writing, career and education services, support groups, police/court assistance, and transitional housing assistance for victims of domestic violence, dating violence, stalking, and sexual assault. We are partnering to provide individual advocacy, peer counseling, and Batterer’s Intervention Program.
Requirements: Client should provide the following 1) Address Verification (if applicable), 2) case history, police reports, protective orders (if applicable), 3) Statements of requested assistance, 4) Indian card.

Eligibility: Any qualifying Native American in the fifty mile radius of the Miami office.
Assistance: Can refer and help anyone in need. Financial assistance can only apply to those that are fleeing and have not used another Domestic Violence program in our area. Financial assistance will help a victim relocation expenses, assistance with utilities and rent, assistance with household items/clothing/food, and some child care assistance.
