Prepared and submitted the Title VI Nutrition Program. Prepared Native American Caregiver Support Program, which will be an expansion to the Nutrition Program. Proposal is excellent, and submitted on time (01/31/2005). Washington AOA Office advised priority will be given to existing programs, and first time applicants, which our application is, will be funded only if appropriation allows for new programs.

Coordinated review of “DRAFT” proposal for NAGPRA with Paul Barton.

Began preparation and development of the 2005 Proposal for Basic Library Services.

On January 12, 2005 attended meeting for the Library Program at the Miami Tribal Nutrition Site. All eight tribes were represented, and discussion took place regarding tribe’s individual needs. I suggested and recommended multi-age groups of tribe’s children, from babies to preschool and school age be targeted for procuring supplies to enhance their learning abilities such as supplies of books, tapes, videos and other learning tools needed to improve the library services.

Provided Administrative Support as follows:

Received LIHEAP clients, processed the applications, and worked with heating source providers.

Received data/info needed from AOA Staff, then prepared Nutrition Recontract Proposal. SEE TITLE VI NUTRITION PARAGRAPH ABOVE.

Have worked with ITBC regarding the Bison Project. Prepared congressional support letters, which is a mandatory part of ITBC.

Continued working with the Computer Technician to resolve problems with the Server and programs/software on computer units of all Tribal Staff of the main Tribal Office. Ordered and procured backup tools needed for Finance Office and Enrollment Department.

Worked with vendors for replacing slow, obsolete copy machine. Procured XEROX copy machine to replace the old HP located at back of the Main Office.

Performed Records Management duties by continuing to work with vendor that provides duplication services of Tribal Records and files.

Performed Property Management duties for ensuring the inventory is accurate.

Maintained GSA fleet of all government vehicles, ensuring maintenance is done, and reports are submitted in a timely manner. Also working with GSA to replace Government vehicles that need to be replaced.

Working with Muskogee Regional Office and Washington Staff, trying to get access numbers for the tribe’s Screeners, in order to begin Excess Property Activity.

Performed as Acting Tag Agent, as needed, issuing new titles, registrations, renewals, and liens. Also respond to inquiries from tribal members, law enforcement, Department of Public Safety officials, car dealerships and financial institutions.





February 2005

Reviewed Notices of Fund Availability (NOFAs) for programs that may fit Tribe’s needs. Prepared DRAFT of Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation (NAGPRA) for Paul Barton to review and provide additional info. Unable to complete, as Paul had his own work of the Environmental Department, and the trip to Canada

Prepared recontract proposal for the Basic Library Program; submitted to Native American Library services timely; is due March 1, 2005.

Attended BIA meeting on February 3, 2005 at Oklahoma City, OK for BIA to establish a method of streamlining its data collection process and identity how data can be collected to show the degree to which Federal dollars allocated for Indian program have been effectively used.

Have worked with ITBC regarding the Bison Project. Prepared congressional support letters, which is a mandatory part of ITBC. Working with BIA for receipt of funds awarded; will request funds be included in the Self-Governance Fund Agreement.

Continued working with the Computer Technician to resolve problems with the Server and programs/software on computer units of all Tribal Staff of the main Tribal Office. Inquired and received cost info and detailed provisions for changing the Internet carrier; will now be with Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. Nations Network has not provided satisfactory service when their service is not working; therefore, reason for the need to change.

Have processed payments and terms of payments being made to vendors for services or goods received; I needed to be specific for lack of quality or poor services received
