A. Eligibility: To be eligible for the Seneca-Cayuga Tribe of Oklahoma Adult Vocational Training Program you must be an adult Seneca-Cayuga Tribe Tribal member between the ages of 17 and 35, residing within a 50 mile radius of Miami, Oklahoma, in need of training to obtain reasonable and satisfactory employment. Attend a vocational or trade school as a full time student, and have an unmet need. Must also declare intent to accept full time employment as soon as possible after completion of training.
1. Maximum Period of Eligibility: The Seneca-Cayuga Adult Vocational Training Program expects students to complete their training in twenty-four (24) months, except that Registered Nursing students may receive not more than thirty-six (36) months of training.
B. Ineligibility:The following categories are ineligible for assistance from the Seneca-Cayuga Adult Vocational Training Program.
(1) Those students who have applied to the Federal Financial Student Aid Program and who have been determined to have a zero need.
(2) Those students who have accumulated the maximum period of eligibility. The Adult Vocational Training Education Director/Counselor will perform checks with other Tribal contractors for prior services provided to an applicant.
(3) Non-Indian spouses will not be eligible for training.
(4) Students who are in default on student loans that were processed as a result of applying to the Federal Student Aid Program will not be eligible until such a time that the defaulted loans have been repaid.
