To be eligible for the Seneca-Cayuga Tribe of Oklahoma Adult Education Program you must be an adult Seneca-Cayuga Tribal member, be between the ages of 16 years of age or older, and may not be enrolled in a formal education program.
To make available to adult tribal members educational assistance by coordinating resources available to further their educational abilities in the areas of cultural teachings, part time training, skills upgrading, self improvement, GED classes, testing fees -- GED and other, skill licensing requirements.
The Seneca-Cayuga Adult Education Program is a program that provides financial assistance to Seneca-Cayuga tribal members with educational opportunities and learning experiences for Indian adults to gain in the skills needed to improve their functioning as individuals and as members of families and communities.
(1) Applicants must be adult, Seneca-Cayuga Tribal members, residing within a 50-mile radius of Miami, Oklahoma.
(2) Shall be at least sixteen years of age or older, and may not be enrolled in a formal education program.
(3) Applicants must be in need of training in order to be a more effective citizen, and productive employee.
(4) Selection of applicants shall be made without regard to sex or marital status, providing they meet the eligibility requirements.
